1970s Wakmann Chronograph

1970s Wakmann Chronograph

$900.00Price

As an importer and manufacturer of high quality timepieces, Wakmann Watch Company was founded in New York in 1946, and quickly became known as experts in the world of chronographs and multipurpose timekeeping. They also manufactured watches for the Armed Forces and the U.S. Government. They were a true giant in watchmaking at the time...well, that's until the quartz crisis in the 70s when they were bought out by Breitling.

This stunning gold capped case is unpolished, the pushers show some wear, while the blue subdials pop with a beautiful burst of royal blue. At first glance this seems like a typical gold chronograph, but the intricacies on the dial are mind blowing. Even down to the white hands and markers on the blue subdials. It's a fantastic piece to behold and at 37mm, it's the perfect wear for anyone in my opinion.
