Enicar Triple Calendar

Enicar Triple Calendar

$1,000.00Price

Enicar, founded in 1913 by Ariste Racine and his wife, Emma Blatt, is certainly not a brand that most people know. But if you know, then you KNOW. Due to trademark issues with a company already named "Racine," Emma Blatt proposed the idea to use an anagram of "Racine." Thus we have "Enicar." Enicar watches (particularly their Sherpa models) are highly sought after among collectors. And this 1950s Triple Calendar is right up there with them.

Measuring in at 33mm, this watch wears surprisingly large on the wrist due to its 13.1mm case thickness. This piece houses the iconic (and recently serviced) caliber Felsa 693, also called the Bidynator, which is derived from the first automatic movement (Felsa 692) to have the flywheel rotor spin both ways. The original minute and hour hands go so well with its beautifully aged, original dial; which is the most obvious highlight here. This Enicar reference is already rare and with a dial like this, it's truly one of a kind. It's a pleasure to wear and I'm more than ecstatic to be offering it here in the shop.
