The PolArouter was only produced in 1954. Therefore, when one stumbles upon one, "stupidly giddy" comes to mind as just one potential emotion. This particular example has a beautiful and original dial that has patinated very nicely with age. The original, gold dauphine hands are absolutely gorgeous as well. Also, the original index ring in particular is stunning on this piece. It is nearly flawless. One of the main pleasures of owning a PolArouter, other than its rarity, is the bump of the caliber 138SS bumper movement whenever the watch is flipped back and forth. What a fun feeling! Also, fun little fact about this particular example...the serial number corresponding to this watch is the very first of this particular model. I mean, cmon...that is incredibly cool!
