Zodiac Seawolf "Tropical"

Zodiac Seawolf "Tropical"

$1,700.00Price

The iconic lume triangle hour markers and dauphine hands of this Zodiac Seawolf make it one of the most recognizable wristwatches of all time. It was one of the first dive watches ever created alongside the Blancpain Fifty Fathoms and the Rolex Submariner. The fact that it has survived to present day is a true testament to its durable craftsmanship.

The dial reminds us of the dark time in our American history that was the Vietnam War as it may have likely endured the front lines. Many of these Zodiac pieces were bought during the Vietnam War era by American soldiers and did not stand the test of time because of the harsh conditions. Even more, nearly all of those that did survive, lack the "tropical" patina that this specific example possesses. One would be hard-pressed to find a Seawolf in this unpolished and original condition with such a magnificent dial coloration.

This particular reference is in entirely original condition. You name it: the dial, the hands, the lume, the bakelite bezel, the signed crown, the crystal, even down to its original Zodiac signed rivet bracelet. One could write an entire description of the bracelet alone. But for now, it suffices to say that these don't pop up very often, if at all. And when they do, they are not in this pristine condition. I am pleased to state that this piece is truly one of a kind.
